AVON STREET

In the 1970s through to the early 90s AVON STREET was home to Bristol’s cement plant. This was the final stop of the Bristol and Gloucestershire Railway. The line was built to bring coal from the coalfields (situated in the North of Bristol) to the centre.

Today there is little to suggest the active industrial history of this site. The area has been intended for reconstruction since but is still a building site.

This work is presented as a book.
